Question 1.6 or 1.5 Whats your fav?

Just wondered on all you 1.6 gamers out there what you think of 1.6??

In the pole vote Yes if you prefer 1.5 and vote No If you prefer 1.6

Did you prefer the good old 1.5, simple, quick, virtually buggles version or the now steam based 1.6 with the shield?

Obviously by my opinion 1.5 was always the best, it was faultless, why try and change it ?

Also just wondered on players history ie previous clans. Is there a 1.6 hexus clan because iv heard of a cs:source team.

altho...1.5 was nice on tha old 56k, as no annoying steam updates also the way there was no steam at all and you could just look for servers etc in 1.5, instead of seperatly within steam.

Erm... the poll question is "Do you prefer 1.5 or 1.6", but the answer is "Yes" or "No" - either I'm going crazy (a strong possibility) or those options don't make any sense!

yeh i know wat u mean bout the graphics daymonkey, but its the old gameplay that makes CS what it is today

    lol Mike nps

I must admit I do like the graphics of CS Source but I really dont like the models of the players, looks like they have all just been done up the ass :/the ragdoll is gr8 i cant complain bout that. Although to me it feels like a different game and feels like the Gameplay has gone. Thats why 1.6 is always gunna be my fav apart from 1.5 :E

1.6 was buggier, slower, uglier, spammier and generally more rubbish

yeh spud i agree in everyway there

yeh 1.3 was v gd, loved the jumpin and awp delay, theres a mod that a mate of mine made called Boback, he made a mod for 1.6, it was a reinactment if it were of 1.3. He tried changing weapon delays, walk speeds, jump speeds, gravity, friction of jumping etc, great mod. It was called Promode. Its up and running on a test server some where ill list the IP if i get ahold if it. The mod went really well, except there were a few draw backs to it as certain features that were planned couldnt be done such as awp time delays and also the shield could not be removed due to the way in which 1.6 had been made.

But still you gotta give it a go when I find the IP its so smooth, feels great just a shame certain things couldnt be changed, but hey its still an amazing mod.

Agreed, can't remember the exact Beta versions but the later ones before 1.0 was out were a lot better.

I played CS for about 1 year solid, every night. Poored so many hour into and talked to loads of people from it.

Now I don't even have it installed, last time I played it was when that stupid STEAM was released.

it was great b4 the spammers played it. and before it went retail.

when it did go to 1.0 i switched to AHL instead, played that for a few months then started playing again when 1.4 came out.
