Which of the sequels did you like? :)
Don't get me wrong - I have purchased more copies of FO1, 2 and 2.5 than I care to admit, and played all 3 for more hours than I care to admit. That being said, 3 and NV were superior gaming experiences in every meaning of the word - and if it's required, I'll go out on day of release and buy a DX11 card, which I haven't done yet. Something the Witcher 3 couldn't convince me to do.

It's quite likely to still be DX9 and based on the latest evolution of the engine they've been using for years and years.

Me wants it! Me wants it NOW!
Re: New Fallout announcement incoming
3 hours 6 mins - This best not be for some DLC for fall-out 3!

If it is, I'll be writing a horrible email to Bethesda!
In all seriousness, however, I cannot wait! The last time I enjoyed a game as much as Fallout 3 was, well Fallout 3. For me personally, better than Skyrim.

To be fair, that engine did give us FO3, NV, Skyrim and Dishonored. They did release The Evil Within and Wolfenstein:TOB on a new engine (the Wolfenstein:TNO was DX9, but truly horrible performance on cards older than the Kepler range)
Wouldn't break my heart either way - I'll be in line one way or the other.

And Oblivion, Civ 4, Warhammer online, Morrowind, dark age of camelot...

Me too - the trailer shows it's not in the super stunning graphics category, but it's all about the gameplay.

I won't be so bold and make some claims that have as much to do with taste and preference than anything verifiable, but will say I've struggled to find any ounce of enjoyment in any Bethesda game. I thought them peculiar worlds filled bizarrely (and in fallout's case, overcrowded-ly) to the brim with wooden characters, half-arsed v/o, and lot's of tedious traipsing about :). Original was the best IMHO.

Er?
Dishonored is UE3.

Thought I had read it was done on the same engine as Skyrim. Turns out it was one of 2 games that Bethesda had it's hands on that used UE3 (Hunted:The Demon's Forge being the other). I stand corrected - thanks for the info.
Re: New Fallout announcement incoming
It was confirmed a while back Bethesda would be using an id Tech based engine.
