    Hearthstone : The alternatives ?

Bloody tired of losing to bad draws that get invariably worse as you rank higher ( even when you been getting good draws with the same deck ) , are there any alternative card or strategy games that are more skill based ?

I imagine the next thing people will recommend is Magic: The Gathering, atleast thats the other major card game I've heard of. It's more complex than Hearthstone but from what I've seen it seems alright, I'm not big into card games though.

That said, RNG is RNG, its always going to be there to mess with your head.

Hearthstone is a bit RNG but the good players eventually get to a decent rank, you should check out the builds and guides available.

One thing about this game is it is quite grind/pay heavy so if thats an issue I can see why you would want another game.

As mentioned Magic is probably the most common alternative, if you don't mind playing offline the Witcher 3's Gwent is quite fun to play, all you need is: The Witcher 3 and a PC that can handle it

Bad draw happens, but you can't blame it for your losses. If your deck is so dependent on a particular combo win or only runs 1 removal its a bad deck, not bad draw that's your problem.

As far as pay 2 win goes, i'm not so sure. If you want to ladder very highly straight away then its probably necessary just for legendaries, and the fact that you need to put several decks together. A lot of it is about observing the things you're losing to and adapting the deck accordingly.

I'm currently running a mech druid deck (total spend 2 arena entries - £3 in amazon stars I had free for some reason) which is at rank 15 with no trouble. It would be better with some bigger cards (sky golem, Sneed's, foereaper) but rather refreshingly is strong vs patron warrior (keeping 3 attack minions on the board is easy.)

alternatives wise, magic is cool, although I dislike the revenue model for it. If you like add me (same name as here) I'm not an expert but might be able to give you some tips
