    Blizzard Support an absolute shower

Needless to say I am livid, I cannot access my Battle Net Account and their support are just a joke.

Phone Authenticator, said phone gets sent in for repair and wiped by Sony technicians, I had forgotten to write authenticator code down, Sony weren't supposed to wipe phone though as second time for repair (nice of them to just follow script like procedure).

So I contact Battle Net, this had happened previously and my out of date passport was fine coupled with a pic of my bank card.

Now though that same pic 3 months later is no good.

They are asking for old authenticator serial over and over.........NOT POSSIBLE

Or valid Government ID, I have a paper provisional license with old address on it valid to 2043, letters from DWP (Carers & Disability as I am a carer for a terminally ill person), Tax Credit Exemption letter and cert, new and up to date medical cert, marriage license, NHS Medical Card. Also like I said I have all the original games discs and codes of items on my account.

All of this is still no good and they won't remove authenticator from my account so I can add a new one.

To add insult to injury I get the generic email response with a few bits someone has filled in. They include links to reply to them and upload extra pics and answer questions. Thing is though to access their reply on the support account you have to log in and it is backed up by asking for said authenticator code.

Thinking either Watchdog, Trading Standards or my local MP with this one now

Do you have web chat support with Blizzard at all? Maybe try that route?

    Or contact them via FB/Twitter?

Onto them now, hoping I have better luck with this, this has been ongoing days now.

If / When I get it back I am going to add the SMS Protect to retrieve lost Authenticator codes and to access my account

Twitter people just copied and pasted from a script and kept sending links I couldn't log into

I have had the same problem with them in the past, was very around the houses and a few choice words were used.

Best thing I done was add the SMS protect.

They are trying to protect you. I know it's frustrating but you need to consider the amount of accounts that get compromised.

I have always used my passport, never had issues with them accepting that.

I had similar and had to sent a photo of one of the games I had on the account with the CD-key visable as well as the emails to me showing the order for the game and then I got back in.

Re: Blizzard Support an absolute shower

Managed top get it sorted, apparently the out of date passport should have been fine alongside my debit card.

But they asked my to photo each bit I mentioned separate and upload it to the chat so they could see it properly. Quite time consuming but thankfully the agent sorted it out.

I have now added SMS protect as well as the authenticator.

I do appreciate that they are trying to protect me as a user / customer but they were taking it a bit to far extreme!

Re: Blizzard Support an absolute shower

They seem to be quick enough to take your cash but very slow in helping you solve problems, I played wow in the past and found that even in game tickets took as long as 36 hours to even be looked at.

Re: Blizzard Support an absolute shower

Glad to hear you got it sorted. I lost access to my account about 7 years ago and never got it back. I gave up with them after a few e-mails. Probably for the best in my case, but I was quite irked at how little they were willing to assist me.

At least you know your account is secure, their support has gone really downhill lately (they used to be so good back in starcraft/d2 days!)
