MoH: Pacific Assault, Not So Good...

Yep, I know you probably think I'm crazy for saying this but hear me out, luckily i bought it for a lovely £9.99 first hand and brand new from GameStation as i really needed a new game to play after a lo-o-o-o-ng new game drought.

Standing on its own its just about average.

The graphics are alright but sometimes look scruffy, inconsistent fps, flat storyline.

I like the fact that EA have based their newest game in the pacific but when you consider the greatness that is Call Of Duty (The Orginal) which dealt with the war from the points of view of Americans, British and the russians, it seems really stupid how they've sold the public that is supposed to be an accurate depiction of war in the pacific, then where are the british, austrailians and the canadians, there simply is no mention of anyone else other than the americans and the japanese.

Also the way the japanese are constantly doing banzai charges is stupid too, in real life, they would pick up the ammo from the weapons of their fallen comrades and would only banzai charge as an absolute last resort .ie when they had had absolutely no access to weaponry or ammo other thaan the beyonnet mounted on their riflies or the katanas (Generals / Commanders),

I didn't really think that much of the demo, the continual charging of the Japanese troops was very annoying. I saw it for £9.99 at game but didn't bother getting it because of how disappointing the demo was.

i think that for 9.99 it's pretty good value, but I've tended to go through and get all the hero moments and medals.
think overall it's not as polished as CoD, but does have more amusing close up fighting. would be cool to use a katana instead of rifle butt for the thwacking of enemies!

Played the demo, wasn't impressed either, never ever considered buying it, CoD United Offensive is cool though.

Only played the demo but it doesn't strike me as anything special compared to COD

It's based on a real war but they way its has been presented is flat, what with the sole focus on the americans, what about the austrailians the canadians and the british who we all know were fighting alongside the americans.

Call Of Duty (original) in my opinion currently stands proud as the very best WWII fps of all time until perhaps brother in arms a game i've been anticipating for a couple of years now, comes out as it just looks amazing even if is being made by Gearbox who were responsible for that ****e port of halo.
