it's not all that great. Bought a PC for gaming Jan 2003, money was tight and could only get an Fx 5200 and said to myself that all would be better with a better card. In the meantime, I played every game I had @ lowest settings and naff res, or oldish games, thinking that somehow everygame would be better with amazing graphics. Xmas 2004, finaly get a near top of the line card (sig), shove it load up the same games i'd been playing for ages and..sure they look great, but in say UT2004, who's got time to notice what it looks like when ur fragging away? Obviously other games were stunning, Doom 3 @ Ultra high settings had me staring in awe ...obviously after about 40 mins of actually playing it I got pretty bored.
I've been playing quite a lot of Far Cry, which has kept me coming back purly by gameplay over graphics, you cease appreciating the image quality after a while. So the point I'm trying to make is that if you're 'going all out' when buying a new card, don't bother going for the top-top unless you want to run it insanly high res. Looking back on it, I should have bought a plain 6800 rather than dish out for a gt. Apart from a decent score in 3dMark, thats all I'm gaining for now. A better card won't improve your gaming expierince drastically, it may enable you to play new games that you couldn't before, but gameplay is what you play for.
