Launches next week - So who's excited?

I hardly ever pre-order games, myself... I bought into Elite Dangerous and am still getting value from that. I fell for the Star Citizen BS and am waiting to hear about Chris Roberts' prison sentence.

I played Rebel Galaxy before anyway and quite enjoyed it - One of the title tracks is still my ringtone.
But this new one... really ticked all the boxes. I saw an hour-long dev video showcasing some of the features (yes it took an hour) and was very impressed by how much they'd implemented, got working and were ready to release with. This was about a year ago, following which they've mainly just been tweaking and bug fixing, so very promising. They even stated what the one price would be, no special editions or P2W versions, just the game, and they've lived up to that so I'm quite hopeful.

It is on an Epic exclusive until next year, so I guess some people will reject it out of principle, but I don't mind. I've done well out of Epic so far.

If it's primarily or solely a Single Player game I can't see it being too much of an issue on Epic.

Of course, I forgot that I won't be playing this on release day... I'll be downloading it. Might get to play it the day after, once it's finished... assuming there are no large patches.

Well, dunno about you lot, but I'm certainly enjoying this.
Kinda like Borderlands meets Privateer, I guess.

Only played it in SIM mode so far, with HOTAS, but it's a good casual kind of game with pretty much however much you want of whatever spacey-typical gameplay you require.

OP I love the comment related to Star Citizen. Hope you get something worthwhile in the end out of that but when I heard how grand his ideas were I knew to stay away from that project. As for this new game mentioned here never heard of it but if it is simple to play unlike many other space games then maybe one day I give it a try. I just am not into all the micro management it seems that go with space games and I don't have a flight stick, etc. so you can tell I am at even with flying sims. Definitely not my normal cup of tea. Thanks for the person that included the video and will take a look at it. And now I started the video and unfortunately it is that sexist, hater guy doing this. Ok I never saw anyone use the short form EGS for Epic. As for Steam vs Epic eh Steam sales have gotten worse and worse for years and I don't like their marketplace policy plus I want all forms of competition that can be put together to fight Steam. Oh and hey I will take the awesome free games Epic is handing out. I will of course also buy from them in the future as thanks. I think I may have bought one thing from them but not sure.

You sure he wasn't being heavily sarcastic? He does that a lot... and his girlfriend would likely beat the hell out of him if he ever said stuff like that in all seriousness.

I'm genuinely curious as to what he said... You remember which video it was?

I really liked the first one, Outlaw doesn't look that different, hopefully it hits steam soon.

I'm hoping this is one that comes to gamepass - that seems to be a way around the Evilcorp game store for quite a few devs now. Was gutted when I read that The Outer Worlds was to be an EGS exclusive..but then it showed up on gamepass, so no issue

Sorry but more worried about the entire world right now and actually also closer to home. Things aren't very good in North America if you haven't noticed. It has been going downhill actually for a very long time. With that said I need not worry about what you mentioned and will just play what I like.
