    Video games and crime.

Have you heard the new one? They are blaming games for progectors being stolen from schools. How did they decide that the stolen pojectors were being used for games? Is the fact that they are worth over £1000 worth nothing?

I am fad up with games being blamed for everything! Other countrys like Germany and Korea get grants for gaming as it is a recognised sport, i just dont get it.

We've had several projectors stolen from my school - one from the same room 3 times in the space of 2 months!!

Blaming it just on games is a bit silly though - they are equally used for watching DVD's, TV etc and not just games...

I have to agree though, media (incl. games) is definitely playing a huge part in glorifying crime.

But that doesnt mean its the media's fault for crime going up, after all, it doesnt force you to be a criminal, the problem as usual comes down to stupidity, more and more people are allowed to be stupid nowadays, and if anything they get praised for their stupidity by their friends etc....anyway, if we could just shoot people who have a mind for stupid, inconsiderate violence/crime then we'd be better off as a society.

I played Pac Man a lot when I was younger, going round and round eating every little thing in sight... can I blame my weight on games too?

Tbh though, if you leave a £1,000 object around anywhere that will fit in a reasonable sized backpack then a chav is bound to steal it eventually.
All our uni ones are either screwed to cieling or chained down, or otherwise immovable.
Its probably just an increase in chav-ism rather than an increase in computer gaming.
