Does this mean we'd be able to play Goldeneye?
And would it work on the Shield Tablet?

I'd rather just play them all on the 'cube I've still got lying around... ;)
Goldeneye was an N64 game so would require Virtual Console, it isn't actually available though on the VC on Wii U, thing is Rare are or were at least owned by Microsoft and not forgetting the larger licensing side of things. There was Goldeneye Rogue Agent on the cube but it wasn't as good as the N64 game.
You can play Gamecube discs on the original Wii (not the later released mini), you can plug a GC controller into the side of the machine and away you go. I do have my cube setup on the TV and play on it quite often, great little machine and worth investing in one if not overly botherred by Nintendo's newer offerings.
