    Ground Control II

I found one other person in the forum who plays GCII so I figured I would start a thread to see how much interest there is in this game, with a view to a possible online hook up.

I think Massive has got it right for multiplay, Massgate works well, but I find skirmish to be a tad placid. Actually the only way to get a real game in skirmish is to play 3-5+ enemies (depending on the map).

Another thing I really like is Free Map Friday.

I use this nic online so if you see me in Massgate say Hello

cool, there are some great new maps to add to the original installation available from the Massive dedicated servers in Massgate with the release of Massive made maps complete for now they are going to release user/fan made maps from now on. this will be interesting as the fans should know what the fans want . I will keep an eye on this thread for further news of your connectivity and will be available for any questions you may have.

    Keep on gaming

I posted somthing on this game some time ago. I've only tried it single player. I like some of the graphical flourishes like the immensive reflections in the water. I havn't got very far, but I dont play games that often tbh.
To err is human. To really foul things up ... you need a computer.

I just did a search and found it, it appears you weren't happy with some camera angles.

There a a couple of tips like designate a unit number to a unit then double hit that number, this orientates the camera to a view I find best for game play, and there is also the rotating map options.

The Hellfire Artillery has the most amazing graphics, I like the explosions it creates, visually awesome and devestating in game play.

One gripe I do have is when you fill 3+ APCs the gameplay slows down dramatically (on my pc anyway) to the point of annoyance until you empty the APC's.

All in all I still enjoy it, all the new maps keep the interest factor high and online play is ruthless.

Nah the shinyest thing is the rocket trucks when in secondary form (when they become defence vehicals) - so pretty and blue

I really like the look of that, think I will order a copy. I played Warzone 2100 a lot on the playstation and really liked not having to start every mission by building a base.

Havve been playing GC2 for the past week or so, am enjoying it greatly. Am mainly in skermish mode, although have done a fair amount of the main game. There are also a varity of mods out for it, ranging from uniy balancing to adding the ability to be Terran. Thers also a mod in progress to turn it in to warhammer 40K, could be intersting. As usual the main forums are full with people whining about this or that, but overall great game. Picked my one up for £9 on ebay.
