Doom 3 Running on 2 SLI 3dfx Voodoo II Cards!

    http://www.3dfxzone.it/enboard/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1462

    Playable Performance!

Now that's something you don't see everyday...
I might aswell dig out my old Diamond 3D Blaster II - Voodoo II & start shooting some bastids!

It's funny that most modern 64Meg cards can't even handle DOOM3 & this old 24MB SLI setup can run it at playable performance.

Switch the options to look like this before you slate the modern cards

Yeah, Doom III without the eye candy = no game at all, as it was only worth playnig through it to see the pretty stuff in the first place.

Lets be honest, with just the gameplay to keep it going, Doom III is going to tax even the most hardened gamers patience.

TBH the Voodoo2 never struggled with OpenGL and was perfectly capable of running Quake 3 @ 1024x768 in my experience. With all the settings turned down like they obviously are in that picture, I suspect it would run easily in SLI mode with a beefy CPU and enough mem in the PC to keep it going.
