Xbox 360 Games for a 9 Year Old

    Hi All,

Me and my eldest were sorting out the study room and we came across my boxed 360. She asked if we could set it up which we did, but when it came to playing I realised all my games were either sports sims she has no interest in playing (TW Golf, Boxing), or wholly unsuitable for a 9 year old (GTA, L4D etc). So my question is, does Hexites have any recommendation of 360 games for a 9 year old? I suppose the types we’d be looking for would be:

Mario Kart like racers (I’ve heard about Sonic all stars so will give that a go, but any others)
    Fun platformers
    Party games

And if there are any other games that people are aware of that may be suitable, I’m very open to suggestions!

    Thanks in advance.

Most of the Kinect stuff is kid friendly if you have a Kinect with it, F1 Race stars and Sonic All stars are decent kart-em-ups. Minecraft might be a good shout for that age range as well

Banjo Kazooie : Nuts & Bolts (the original titles are also available to buy from the online store)
Sonic All Star Racing (2 Games)
Sonic Generations is decent (avoid the others though)
Dreamcast & SEGA Megadrive Collection are both available on disc
    Rayman Origins
    Loads of different LEGO Games
    Earthworm Jim HD (XBL store)
    Simpsons Game
    Kung Fu Panda

There are loads of kid friendly games on the machine, those are some that I remembered getting my son at that age

This. They're even fun for older kids. Apart from when younger kid isn't playing it properly, and doesn't want to collect everything and get 100% completion. Then it's time for the Kragle.

My youngest got a lot of enjoyment out of the Skylanders games on the 360.

There must be dozens of those little figures and portal thingies in the bedroom.

What about classical Star Wars Battlefront II? It's for original Xbox, but the game is very good especially if this kid likes Star wars

I honestly do not really like the XBOX 360 because of the gamepad. But a series of games Halo strikes to the depths of the soul
