Unreal 1 cooler Lens Flares & effects than new FPS...

Yeah...
And I only bought the Diamond 3D blaster Voodoo II back in 1998-9, for the sol purpose of playing Unreal 1 under Glide.
The lens flares looked so cool!

I still think that no game has surpassed it as far as lens flares & effects; they looked so cool because they were large, exaggerated & would fade in & out in a magical kind of way.

In new games like Doom3, Unreal 2, HL2, Far Cry, etc... They are too realistic & small thus not as cool, but in Unreal 1 using Glide… it was just poetry...

Glide always run really well no matter what you had, it was just great.... brings back memories....

Can still remeber the first time i saw marble with my 2 voodoo2's in SLI in unreal, i was blown away, i must have spent the best part of a day just admiaring my reflection in it
