    Dakkar 2

I bought Dakkar 2 for PS2 last week... it's excellent!!!

You race numerous stages from Paris to Dakkar, and have to complete one stage before moving on to the next. This then opens up the stages on the "Arcade" mode. It's not quite GT3, but fab graphics and so FAST!!! You can race in cars, trucks or motorbikes on courses ranging from mountain paths to barren desserts, and if you are brave, there are shortcuts through narrow, steep moutain tracks etc.

It's ACE!! Good fun and very tense mainly cos its so fast!!

I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time.... It was them that started me drinking.

The coolest thing IS the dessert raid......no doubt Its a case of losing the map in the bottom corner of the screen that is NORMALLY there....you get an aerial view of the dunes and the HARD ROCKS.....so while screaming along looking straight ahead like normal, BUT being blinded by the huge dunes AND trying to judgeif you will make it up them at all..you need to use the little Aerial view to judge where you are gonna end up...

It is a really much better game than I thought...and it was £14.97 second hand in Game.....

There are some amazing short cuts if you're on a bike.....but mind the big HGV boys....dont try to cut inside them

For the dough.......7/10.....think we might finish it easy though...
