    Gameboys...

    aren't gameboys great!
I'v only got a gameboy colour but still its awesome fun! ok so its not going to have any games updated any time soon but whats out there you could probably pick up for only a few quid. And the gameboy advance - being backwards compatible means I can still use old gameboy games ( ) and since the 'DS' is about to come out its going to drop in price too no doubt.
still, I love my gameboy colour and all its gaming power (how many bits is it?! 4 or something?)
currently stomping through zelda oracle games...takes a while but all good fun, and I'm only on the first one!

only problem, DS doesnt play OLD GB carts, Just GBA, its shaped so it cant quite fit properly which is a REAL drag, i wanted to play tetris on DS goodness and i cant, so i still have to keep my classic gameboy for Tetris fun.

well, i'm not getting rid of my gameboy color yet. I used to have one of those big chunky gameboys - it was a really cool one made out of clear plastic so you could see the insides. but now I have a cool 'lime green' gameboy colour was only 25 squids 2nd hand about 3yrs ago

i'v also just got past level 6 of zelda oracle of ages so its not like I'm going to stop just yet

lol also agreed! My SNES is still my most played console (out of Xbox, Cube, Megadrive, Saturn, Dreamcast, Master System, Nes, N64) however PC is my main games platform as such. But its great becuase all the games i love so much on the snes are usualy re-released on GBA becuase they have the same power

Amen, nout to be ashamed of, they were brilliant games in their own right without the huge cash cow marketing that ensued.

how do you have time to play them all? I can understand having the nes,snes,n64 and cube plus a couple of others to satisfy curiosity, but an xbox too? i dunno - why bother with a pc? you've got enough to occupy yourself with there!

PC as main gaming platform becuase u get mmorpgs, fps games play alot better and games look alot nicer.

Xbox as a main console for new releases that are crap on PC (driving, fighting, etc)

Cube for those brilliant nintendo games

    Snes as above!

Rest of them arnt played much except my dreamcast which i plug in when aload of mates are round for some good games on soul caliber

Gameboy has some cracking games on it, the Zelda titles, Pokemon red and blue are actually quite good (if you have lots of spare time and can get over the fact that its pokemon), my fave though is Metal Gear. Its a remake of the origional NES version i think, excellent fun none the less. Shame that ninty is going to get its hide spanked by the PSP.

Gameboys were definately cool when I was a child. I never had anything better than the original. Now, I'm trying to find an advance flavour on ebay right now. I can't seem to find one in my price range.
