Re: Games to Co Op with your 10 year old

Been doing alot of Fortnite PvE with my kids, it's supposed to be coming F2P but atm you would need to purchase a version of the game (loads of different bundles etc at different prices) it can be really easy or get really hard, all depends on how you want to push it.

and OMG at Gauntlet, so tempted to by the 4 pack :O remember playing that as a kid

I'd recommend the CnC franchise up to Generals. You can ally and take on the PC and with a little Googling LAN is still possible. Not forgetting CnC Net which is free to use and has patches and some unofficial expansion packs.

+1 for LEGO™ games.... Played LOTR and it was good fun. I also have a friend who plays it with his own son.

I have them on my Wishlist, but not tried these yet... But I hear great things about We Were Here (free to play) and the sequel, We Were Here Too (few quid).
I don't believe there's anything unsuitable for younger players....

Never Alone is a nice co-op side scroller game that doesn't seem too scary.

Unreal Gold was free on GoG last week so we grabbed that for LAN awesomeness.

Pretty sure the thread is for a 10 year old :/ Borderlands 2 is rated M for mature which is pretty much a 18.

I play it on and off and I wouldn't even allow my 12 year old to play it

It's rated 18 by PEGI and the BBFC so yes, very much an 18! I wouldn't recommend it for a 10 year old.

I really like the first Borderlands. The plot is not so long and there was a branch of the rolling of the character Roland more interesting

If you don't mind early access games, 'Raft' looks like a lot of co-op fun. I'm not sure how much 'replayability' the game will have, but I'm going to pick it up at the next Steam sale (rumoured to be on the the 21st - three days time).

If your kid likes farming stuff. If not, it's still good fun.

I'm a firm believer that all kids should learn about history & the classics.

    So Doom.

+2 for Lego games. Out of the ones I've played, Marvel Super Heroes was best - also tried Star Wars & Lord of the Rings, both good.

My favorite is Injustice 2. He would love it if he is into superheros.
