    Single player in CS?

I know this sounds like a really daft question, but i brought the Half Time Generation box set with Counter Stike. I was wondering can i play the game offline? some one said that i maybe able to download a bot or something. Is this true?

    Thanks

Yeah, you can download POD bots and Create A LAN server to play on.

That's the only option really, provides a bit of entertainment anyway

yeah you can play with bots offline, but its nothing like the online experience

the bots are too easy to kill, not a challange at all. Even on expert mode they dont produce much of a threat, but thats only because they are almost cheating at that point

they are good to learn from , but once you have any skill you wont want to play with bots...ever

I think the bot AI is truley a good effort and they serve their purpose as a 'trainer' very well. No point in them being difficult - we have real players to provide that challenge. What Counterstrike has always cried out for IMO is a decent learning curb.

theres not really much AI there tbh, all waypoint based movement, minimal AI (mostly scripted)..

but yes they are a good effort cant see how they are any good for training though, even for new players
