Best Final Fantasy Game?

Hmm, my auntie borrowed my old PSX that could play imports, so I had to resort to ePSXe to play the game again...and its still stunning. IMHO, sprite/2d games can look amazing with the right artists...as FFT demonstrates. But just imagine with a PS2....!

Aside from FFT:A and Gladiator, any other good tactical games coming out soon? Legend of Disgaea looks good, but probably won't get overe here, right...

Er sorry thats a total thread hijack isn't it.

Anyone hear any more news of the remakes of FF7, 8 and 9 they were talking about a couple of years ago??

No idea to VII-2, but if it did exist..I want!

You can't "get" FFT for it, I used my original FFT disc...but yeah it works pretty nicely.

square decided that since 7 and 10 were their bigest earners ever, they were gonna break with tradition & work on actual "sequels" to these games (as opposed to what they normally do, scrapping the entire FF universe & starting again in every game). they're not finished yet, but they're a fairly exciting prospect for fans of the earlier titles

After FF7 - midgar fall's into a derelict state. Cloud looses his mind again, and forms a group of powerful gangsters who start to terrorise Midgar, and in time may take over it. People start to leave and look for other places to live (use your brain here

) Tifa & Barret play MAJOR roles in ff7-2 and something happens to them both (which I'm not saying).

and a few other things I'm keeping quiet because I'm not 100% certain on them yet.

Seven is the one that really captivated me.

8 wasn't bad and I got bored with 10 and never finished it which is unlike me but 7 really was the daddy.

Took me 50 hours to complete it the first time round and the second time I started digging in

naw i really am wishing their gonna keep going down the same path as they are with XI, having it on PC or PS2/(eventually 3) will broaden their market... because not many people buy more than one PS2.. well i aint after my first one broke after 7 months and i was refused replacement because 'no reason for not working' was stamped on the box rofl!!!

defo 7 was the best spent a whole lifetime on that it seems and i know quite a few other people who would vote 7 aswell

Seeing as Square-Enix have gone back to Nintendo, it should be released on: GC/PS2/PC.

imo anyhow.

Ive just got my hands on some FF7-2 footage and it doesnt show a lot, but what it does show looks AMAZING.
