Ya, looks pretty awesome. Also check out www.artificialstudios.com if I got the URL right. They have some nice demos. I hope Splinter Cell 4 is based on the UE 3.0 tho!!
This should be interesting to follow.. but seems like it won't do much to increase the number of innovative games
My sentiments exactly. I'm getting very, very tired of the same old, well-polished crap being offered up. If the games companies don't start hiring people with some imagination and creativity instead of just technical genius I soon wont be buying any games.Originally Posted by Raggy

mmhmm thats one thing I haven't seen in a while. I've been playing fps over fps, and although they are slightly different, theres really nothing that innovative. However, I have enjoyed Rise of Nations lately, pretty damn innovative if you ask me. Splinter Cell, the other Tom Clancy games, and Full Spectrum Warrior are all some that I think take an innovative step, but I would like to see more

Well I don’t doubt that there could be innovation using the engine.. But it certainly far from promotes it I suppose.
reminds me of doom 3 engine but on steriods. and yes most poeple have seen it ue3.0 has been in the works for quite awhile
I found a picture of Malcom from UT running on the U3 Engine.
Clicky.
I cant wait to play UT on this. Its gonna be spectacular. I really hope it lives up to expectations. The difference between UE1 and 2 is not that great when you see the difference between UE2 and 3. Its simply amazing how far things have come. I bet the guys (and girls) at unreal are having some fun modeling some of these characters and environments.

Yeah, and at least it's mod community friendly... and once again dead sexy.
Theres another resent thread that covers the u3 engine abit more... do a searchthe fast that they have got it running on a 6800Ultra at 10fps!!! lmao!
One thing i found interested is that pixar are supposidly trying to get hold of the engine to make some new films using it? random way of doing things![]()
checked out the reality site and theres a multi player demo for developers to see it in action, does anyone reckon theres a way any joe bloggs can get hold of the demo ???????????????????????![]()

in malcom pics is it just me or did malcom change from white guy to a light black guy?
He looks different in all the engines. Graphics aside the third one is the best imo, he just looks meaner. The other two don't have much expression, though this is probably because of the engine rather than them not bothering to give him one.

in the end, i bet the 6800 runs ue3 just fine, the same way the 2 year old 9800 runs half life 2 just fine.
