    GTR 1.3 out now

    http://www.gtr-game.com/download/GTR_Update_1300_DE.exe [25Mb]

This is only needed if you've imported from Germany. If you buy it in this country it'll already be v1.3

oh yeah, should have mentioned - this patch will still work without problems if you've translated the German version to English.

Yep mines up and running, just got to get the league servers up to date.

The lobby was really busy last night, about 7 races with 20+ ppl and another 10 or so with 10-15 ppl - good times ahead with so many peeps coming in

....But also bad times as you get a shed-load of numpties that think they can drive decorating the tracks with pieces of their motors! (I am intending to get on-line with this beauty, but not until I've ceased to be a liability....shouldn't be too long )

In case anyone is interested in having a blast round the Nurburgring (which I'm led to believe is possible in GTR) have a look at this:

    http://www.nurburgring.org.uk/photolap.html

It's quite a good site, and will probably help a few people that aren't too familiar with the track get their heads round it.

its not a dodgy version. Admittedly its not quite as good as the tracks Simbin made for GTR, but its still good enough for a online bash with 30 mates

Popped home for lunch, and guess what had been put through the letterbox.....

    You guessed it.

Just had a brief spin round Monza in the Ferrari 550, and I'm still smiling.
Gonna be putting some serious time in on this one over the next few days!

Got mine through play.com. £24.99 - and a day before it officially hits the shelves - well happy with that.....not that an extra day is going to make that much difference!

I had it preordered with play, but sendit were doing it for 17.99 so i thought even if it takes a couple days longer i can do with saving 7 quid and i switched. Plus play aren't always known for posting early.

    edit: just received despatch notice.

Its arrived! Yay! Yet to fiddle with it properly though. Some weird steering feedback in semi pro (weak ffb when normal driving, strong when on curbs and suchlike).

    It's a cracking game isn't it!

Shouldn't it be strong FFB on the curbs .... you'd certainly feel more if you were driving over them.

I don't have a FFB wheel, so forgive me if I'm talking out of my arse.

Its not the vibrations i am talking about. Its the pull on the wheel. As long as you have the same grip on and off the curbs you'd expect the resistance of the wheel to be the same, it would just bounce a bit on the curbs. As it is its very light on tarmac, turns or not, and goes full on when on curbs or grass. All this in semi pro mode mind. Switched to simulation and its uniformely weighted, although very jittery. Just need to have a fiddle and get used to it.

dk - in options if you put force feedback down to high instead of full the curbs have a lot less drag which is supposed to be more realistic. It also gets you a few extra FPS.
