The Future of Gaming Looks Pretty, Warning: Big Pi

    http://www.unrealtechnology.com/html...ogy/ue30.shtml

I think I might need a hardware upgrade

After seeing more footage from the GDC, the unreal engine 3 seems to be quite amazing! I'd like to know what spec the computer they demo'd it on was, as it will most likely need an UBER hardware upgrade dry.gif

I also read about PPU (physics processing unit), which you buy seperately, like a graphics card (hooray! more to buy!) which UE3 will support, that allow thousands of physically active object in a game world (To make up for the thousands of physically inactive people who are playing games perhaps? ), compare to HL2's 50ish, think of the possibilities!!!

The next game that Epic Games are creating is 'not based in the unreal universe' so I think it'll be a while before we see another Unreal/UT

Oh, and where's the Big Pi?

I don't mean to sound cold, or cruel, or vicious, but I am so that's the way it comes out.

Was anounced a long time ago All the new screenshots of the UE3 are from this new game they are creating that they haven't yet released any infomation on (AFAIK).

But they are planning on continuing the Unreal series sometime. I think they will bring out an Unreal game on the UE3 it's just when.

Tim Sweeney, founder and lead programmer of Epic Games comments, We've been using the NovodeX Physics SDK with the Unreal Engine 3 for the past year and it has added some awesome effects. It's going to be exciting to see what NovodeX can do once the PhysX chip hits the market.
Unreal 3 is the first game I've heard that supports the physics chip
