    GTR loading times

How long does it take you guys to load up a race. It takes me FOREVER, i can be waiting a good 5 minutes before a race.

I'm guessing 5 minutes is kinda laggy. It may be a failed install or possibly a dodgy CD. Your system speed certainly wouldn't slow things down THAT much

Maybe reinstall the game or try it with a mate's copy.

Loading times are quite slow for me too, but nowhere near 5 mins, probably more like 40 seconds. I'd agree and say try reinstalling it.

it takes about 3 1/2 minutes for my system to load Spa with the full 53 cars, and about 1 minute to load everything else. Something doesnt sound right there.
This is with a 4 year old ATA66 drive too

Is this online or in singleplayer?

I think that is the problem the ATA66 i think were 5400RPM,even so 5 mins is a little to long for even that drive,i think the drive is on its way out, im pretty sure re-installing wont solve the issue, im afraid i think that a new drive is in order.
