Earth 2160 should be out around june time i think. If the previous releases are anything to go by this should/will be awesome especially online. Just do a google for it, the graphics are really spectacular looking aswell

Act of War is OK, nothing special but good fun. The mind boogles as to why they decided to use FMV cut-scenes though, they look so cheesy.

dawn of war is the best RTS atm (simple RTS like Age of empires or C&C) its based on the warhammer 40k series but even if your not a warhammer fan (im not) its still superb, and winter assault should be good although im disappointed its only the imperial guard who are being added.

Act of War is on my "will buy when price slashed" list. £19.99 is close, but I think I'll hang on 'til it's about 6 months old and get it for about a £10'er.
I got Perimeter at Game for £9.98 a week ago. When I played the demo ages ago I thought it was interestingly different, but not worth £30. Just remembered, it completely slayed my then 1Ghz PIII PC.

Darwinia demo was great fun. But doesn't sound like it's got enough levels. So will wait for reduction.

I reckon Rome Total War (I do buy some games on release day!) should give me everything an RTS can offer for still quite some time and it's a shame not to have any new game to look forward to (apart from when mediocre games get reduced to the same price as a pub lunch).

Act of War is pretty and I would put it in a "good" category, but it gets very boring when both teams have nuke capabilities as all you do is sit back and push those red buttons, which is amazingly boring.

But before that is good fun, you get points for capturing foe instead of killing them and the different units can and do have very specific roles, so no mass building of one type like the gattling cannons in Generals
