    Re: Command and Conquer Remastered

Yeah the download size was a bit crazy.. the cut scenes are so bad they're comical. Gameplay is good though - not sure I care much for the old/new graphics switch.

    What do people think?

    Re: Command and Conquer Remastered

I actualy liked the scan lines of the videos on the original, it gave it an 80s industrial feel to it.
Looking at the Minimum spec, my Laptop might be able to run it...

    But this is laughable!:

    "Storage: 32 GB available space"

Here's the rest of the min spec if like me you're on a lackluster system:

    Minimum:
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
    OS: Windows 8.1/10 (64-bit Version)
    Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E4600 @ 2.4ghz or AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400 @ 2.4ghz
    Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT 420 or ATI Radeon HD 5570
    DirectX: Version 11
    Network: Broadband Internet connection
    Storage: 32 GB available space

Anyone tried it yet? Any good, I must admit I am not too keen on the new clean look lol, but I understand you can switch between the old graphics and the new in realtime

Space bar changes graphics from old to new style instantly. Old style graphics look really poor at 1080p though.

Given Red Alert a go today. There's been no changes to gameplay. At least that i can see. So, just like the original. Just a bit nicer round the edges.

    Re: Command and Conquer Remastered

Is it one of those releases requiring use of an Origin launcher too despite being available on Steam?

would do if it didn't need steam. Own the originals but not paying for them again. Shame it's not just a patch really.

    Re: Command and Conquer Remastered

Origin or Steam - got it on Origin myself and so far so good.

ik9000 - I understand but i will say for me it was worth it (based on the playthrough) - my original cd's will not install under windows 10 and the ultimate collection / first decade while they are suppose to work under 10 give me grief (it worked under 7 but stopped when i moved to 10).

I have so far sunk 9 hrs into the sp on the GDI side, if it takes the same for the NOD side that means it cost me a quid per hour, that doesn't seem so bad now and only gets cheaper when i play the covert missions and the RA stuff.
