    TellTale Games

    Hey guys

I was looking at the Epic games sale when I spotted a Telltale game, this made me realise some of these will be perfect to play on my laptop while I don't currently have a full desktop or keyboard. I went to the Telltale website and was surprised to see it up & running and with an upcoming game.

It appears not long after Telltale games went under they were acquired by LCG Entertainment and the studio has been revived, to what capacity I don't know. Sadly they have lost most of their licences so a lot of games are hard to get, however, they managed to hold onto Batman & The Wolf Among Us.

They're currently working on The Wolf Among Us 2
This is just a teaser, if you want to spoil yourself there's quite a bit of material on YouTube.

What Telltale games do you recommend getting my teeth into?
I've started The Wolf Among Us but was too distracted at the time to continue, but I will restart that one.

I've got no answers for you, but thanks for the update about what happened to Telltale afterwards, I'd wondered whether anything from them could be saved.

    Re: TellTale Games

Thanks all I have managed to source both Tales of Monkey island & The Walking dead. As it happens I already have Jurassic Park which must have been from a bundle, so think I'm fairly sorted. Just hunting for back to the future & borderlands but not required just yet

From the little research I have done their intent is to obtain the back catalogue again. They probably need to prove their muscle with their first game before they'll likely get the licences back.

Forgot to ask, worth playing any of the original titles first, or will it not matter?

I started JP, while not quite the game I was looking for, I am enjoying it from a story perspective.
The first part is all to do with the original film and it's quite good going back in game form and seeing what i remember from the film.

    Re: TellTale Games

You would benefit from playing the originals to know whats going on. Or at least it would make more sense anyway

    Re: TellTale Games

I seem to remember picking up a load of Sam'n'Max games from them, the Hit the Road standalone and the series, they were good fun and captured the fun of the LucasArts originals.

    Re: TellTale Games

Playing Monkey Island is never a bad idea. Whatever the rendition or version. I think the telltale Game of Thrones on a mobile was the only piece of this franchise, that I've enjoyed.

I can't wait for TWAU2 loved the first game and when TT went under, I thought I would never see that sequel.

Liked the first one very much. The depth of the characters above all, heroes as villains or victims. I hope both will be as good.
