What 32" TV for a console gamer?
Hi,
I was asked this question so after much googling it turns out there's not much of a list of 'recommended' 32" TVs for gaming.
Anybody could offer some personal input, please?
I'm trying to offer the Samsung TU8000 43" as the nearest alternative :)

Which Magazine did an article about this recently, there are no current 32" TVs which appear to be any good. May be best to go a decent 2nd hand one, or a dedicated monitor?

They don't really exist now aside from 'free TV' included type deals - and probably not great on panel quality.
Unless it absolutely has to be a TV, you probably would be better looking at monitors, maybe even some with built in speakers (although quality is likely to be poor).

TVs have definitely gone BIGGAR IS BETTAR.
Is a 'console gamer' is someone who will be playing at 4k resolution either now or in the near future? And from the size requirement I'm guessing they aren't going to be sat the usual few meters away from the TV the other side of the living room.
Another vote for a not-TV. Talk of VRR for the next gen so would need to look into that a bit more for a recommendation.

As above, really.
A friend of mine does use a TV for 4K gaming in the lounge, but it's absolutely massive (up in the 65-70" range) and cost more than my car.
From looking around with him, as just a second pair of eyes for judging picture quality, Samsungs generally are OK but LGs always seem to look that little bit better even when the shop crew (who do know what they're doing, in this instance) go through the different modes and settings.
Other brands seemed to be somewhere between those two.
Might be different among the smaller sizes, though.

The 32 inch bracket of TVs isn't recommended nowadays because they are all low end TVs with lacking features. 55 is where the value to performance ratio is great and you can get all of the features, but if you need smaller than that then there are some 49 inch models which are of the same cloth but they have a premium attached to them price wise. I would recommend looking into the sony models - they still serve that market well.
