Recently started playing again, much more polish now, and much easier to figure out what to do, it helps you a lot more. It's the game I wish it had been at release to be honest. Only in a Cobra MK3 but I'm not chasing money or ships really, just want to be absorbed into the game in VR and "enjoy" it. I got too caught up with min/maxing my ship for PvP the first time, and couldn't keep up with the clan once Engineering came out, so it lost all it's pleasure. This time I'm doing it differently.

Do keep us informed. I always avoided PvP, and did eventually go back and get my engineering done and then the guardian stuff came along and I haven't started on that yet. Perhaps over the Chrimbo break I will drag the Rift upstairs and give it a go.

Engineering was certainly worth the grind for the jump range.

It was fine up until Engineering became pretty much necessary just for stepping outside the station door, and then it became more of the 'work simulator in space'.
I don't even bother with PvP any more. I just bimble about doing my missions, salvages, rescues and the like. PvE can be a struggle, depending on what ships they're using, but I still dabble in that. I'm so close to Elite, I really ought to make some effort to achieving that.
