I never thought DX11 could look so good. Anyone getting it? What are you looking forward to the most?

I'm trying to hold off at least until tonight Blooming expensive, but I actually think fair for the kind of game you can just go back to over years. And the whole world is included this time (with autogen features) so no need to buy add-ons.

Their downloader isn't the best. Seems to download it in parts and wait for packages to get installed before moving on to the next. My connection was spiking constantly in terms of speed.

True, but for me (buy very few games, play them over years) outright purchases tend to make better sense.

I started downloading the extra 90GB required a couple of hours ago and its only downloaded 10gb so far. Bit slow going especially for a 200MB connection

Yep, as I mentioned above it seems to download a part and install rather than full tilt download, so affected by your disk speed, too. Perhaps this was a conscious decision given the game size to not saturate their servers but you'd hope MS would be well equipped for this.

Played it for hours last night! It looks fantastic. The landing challenges are cool too.

Only using an xbox 360 controller at the moment, but I ordered a joystick last night. It's too difficult to make the smaller movements with the 360 controller. The throttle is too difficult with the controller, you need to have a zoomed out cockpit view to see the throttle, which makes the instruments too small. Hoping the throttle slider on the joystick will help!

Performance is smooth enough for me, only a little bit choppy for a few seconds just after loading. 3700X / 1070 / 16GB @ 1080p.
Edit: At high quality settings I think?

FWIW V-sync appears to be bugged and will just generally run below the in-game FPS limit.

Better off using AMD/Nvidia driver setting limiter as it stands.

I'm tempted to give it a go as I have game pass already but its what 100gb? On my meh 35mb connection that'll take a long time - probably longer than I'd play the damn thing...

Took me almost 5 hours on a 200MB connection, god knows why!

Currently moving it from HDD to SSD, loading from HDD is painfully slow
