LAN Gaming, What Games To Play?

Some friends an d I met up for a bit of LAN gaming at the weekend at a friends house. Yet again due to poor organisation and excessive consumption of beer we only ended up playing 3 different games:

    Call Of Duty
    Breed
    Warcraft 3

Does anyone have any suggestions on which games to play on a LAN with, about 8-10 people. Most would need to be played on a broad range of PC specs.
    Specs:

    Q6600 G0, Thermalright Ultra 120, ABIT IP35 PRO, 4GB Corsair DDR2, Trusty old Tagan 480u, BFG 8800 GTS 512, Samsung F1 750 GB.

Unreal Tournament...the original one. When you set up a new game choose Opposing Worlds, which is just two towers, opposite ends of a long thin bit of rock floating in space. There are "teleport" pads in the base of each tower to the positions in the tower, mid way up and the top. There are Nukes and Sniper Rifles.

Find the multi player option called and activate FAT BOY MUTATOR. Everytime you kill some one, you get fatter....everytime you die, you get thinner.

If you get on a real RAMPAGE run and you atre killing lots of people you end up looking like the michelin man....it is seriousy funny.

Another vote for UT ( original ) here as well as one not many people think will be a good game which is Worms 3D

a nice LAN session of this can be seriously funny - especially with custom voices and silly weapons on like the holy handgrenade and the deadly sheep

original UT here too...awesome game...also try worms (as suggested) if nothing else because there's always a comic giggle just before someone fires a concrete donkey or whatever which alerts you that something amusing is coming if you all have UT then try a version of tactical ops too...go for 1.6 or2.0, one of the earlyish mod versions...lots of fun & can be played on any kind of system

Original Unreal is always good fun, find myself going back to that longer than any other game I have ever played, co-op is great fun, and there is still a small community for the Infiltration mod, which was the start of realism mods (much more fast paced that what you get now).
I don't mean to sound cold, or cruel, or vicious, but I am so that's the way it comes out.
