Just read that and it's fantastic. I agree with EVERY point. Well worth a read.

Yeah, I can agree with all of that, especially the bit about jumping in FPS and the RPG's where things dont happen till you've spoke to people in sequence or everyone in an area. Not forgetting the cameras in the third person games, really annoying when you are just looking at a wall or a shadow of the game character behind the wall and no matter what you do you cant pull it round to see where you are going.

Point 6. Ask me why I played XIII once, then put it back in its box and never touched it again. And that was on a PC.

There is not one single reason in the known universe for even one more game where the save point is ten m***********g minutes away from the boss, forcing me to fight my way down the same hallway each of the 62 attempts it takes me to beat the guy

lol very funny and I have to agree with most of it.

I love the part with the crates. Classic. To add to it, why do RPGs have random treasure boxes? Its always annoyed me. I go into a dungeoun and suddenly there is a treasure box that someone has thoughtfully placed a sword in... hmmm. Or in some games (any game by Bioware) in every crate, every dresser, every barrel someone has been toughtful enough to put potions and money in! Please....

Its hard to be immersed in a game where there just isnt rhyme or reason to any of it.

Stealth Games: Why is it when I play Splinter Cell, if I stand up the AI can see me but the minute I crouch I become invisible? Or if I am in a shadow despite the fact I am just bearly in the shadow and the enemy is 2 inches from me... he cant see me? Its the reason I gave up on those games.
