    Arrow Selling Advice

I wasn't sure if I should put this in GD or here, but since this is game related, it's gone here .

I'm thinking about selling my PS2 and all my games and everything else to do with it. If I put it on ebay, should I sell it all together, or some parts separatly? Also, what sort of price do you think I'd get for the lot?

    To sell:
PS2 (original type, not the new slim version)

Crazy Taxi, Enter The Matrix, Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Grand Theft Auto: San Andrea, James Bond 007: Agent Under Fire, James Bond 007: Everything Or Nothing, James Bond 007: Nightfire, Medal Of Honor Frontline, Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance, Smuggler's Run, The Sims, Timesplitters, Timesplitters 2, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, XIII, XG3: Extreme-G Racing

Total = 17 plus just over a years worth of demos from OPS2 gaming mag along with the magazine itself including any extras from the magazine (excluding the edible variety ) and with any other demos I might have.

    Steering wheel (pretty much unused)
    Mulitap/stand
    3 controllers
    2 memory cards

I haven't entirley made up my mind about selling or not as yet, I'm just looking for advice on how I should sell it, and how much I should expect to get.

    Thanks .

If you give a good description listing all the items that come with the Playstation 2 and use photos etc then I would definitely assume you would get a lot for it, as it is indeed a large bundle .

That's about the most similar thing I can find on ebay. I'm hoping to get somewhere over £200 for the lot (preferabley closer to £300 ).

3 questions. Why is it a good idea to start at £0.99, and not something bigger like £100? I'd have thought incase you only get one bid, £100 would be better. For the same reason, is it a good idea to put a reserve of maybe £200 on it? I'm afraid I have no feedback at all. Is this really bad?

    Thanks again .

    No Problem.

Take a look at this link.
I'd suggest you start at 0.99p with a reserve.
Regarding the feedback, well as long as you make it clear that you're a legitmate seller that doesn't **** about then i'm sure people will bid. Just make it clear if you are putting pictures up of it that pictures of the items are indeed yours (either by writing you're nickname on a sheet alongside the items or by watermarking them) and give a good description of the item.

You might also want to use you're Hexus Trust (if you do have any feedback as backup).

I've just had a nasty thought. What I'm selling will be pretty heavey and quite big too. I've never seen anyone walk into the local post office with 2 or 3 very large boxes to be delivered. Would I need a courier to do this instead?

Can anyone recommend a cheap and quality courier please as I see no other way of getting the stuff from A to B.

    Thanks .

EDIT - I've just seen some courier prices, so unless anyone had any other ideas, I thik I might have to take the magazines (as the heaviest) off my to sell list.

Well, you'll be charged by weight, so if you weigh it then you will be able to find out (remember to add some for packaging materials)

TBH, I can't remember how much the amp cost to ship - I think around £30-40. Your console won't be anything near that though.

Ooh - a tip for you - send it as one bundle rather than several smaller packages, as it'll cost you a lot less.

if you can I'd suggest weighing it yourself, either all together or bit by bit adding it up as you go, then check the price per weight (on the website?) and robert is your mother's brother.

Yeah - I think I'll probably have to send it in 3 separate parcels. Thanks for the advice everyone. All I need to do now is photograph it all and stick it on ebay for a week .

Work it out here (don't forget to include the cost of packing materials) http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/j...diaId=11200122

You could alwase get some quotes from parcelfrorce and the like, rather than using royal fail.

    I'd recommend Parcel2go.
