    Sony PSP - Imports

I thought eBay was pretty much the only place to get these, as Sony are trying to prevent them being sold here.

So what the hell are ebuyer doing:

    The same as we are

I've got 1 here on my desk that's the internal "test" model.

    Very shiny and snazzy indeed

You heard anything from Sony about it? Or are you just going to see how long you can get away with it for?

Also, are the talks of the problems being sorted for a UK release just BS to stop people importing them?

There's plenty of places selling them. Seems as if £190 is the going price for the Value pack. Ebay is still the best place to buy games from, Ebuyer seems the most expensive place for games. What a rip-off.

We've not had any feedback as yet from Sony and as for the rumours, they are just that until confirmed by Sony really but we hardly get to hear console news here

Mine arrived today - absolutely awesome, bought off an Ebay seller called "webstorez" Took like 2 days to arrive, and its really snazzy!

As a side note you DONT need a Jap-UK plug adaptor, a "kettle" plug can be plugged straight into the PSP adaptor as the PSP1000K can handle 110-240V

For me the PSP would be more of an ego thing since everything it does, my C500 phone and iPod do, even the 3D games (except not on with the performance level with the PSP obviously, nor the fantastic screen size).

PSP is teh sex though, but around where I live I couldn't really make the most of its portable offerings, which is kinda the whole point of the device in the first place.

They would most certainly be US 1.5 versions. That is if they managed to get a hold of a bunch of them. As the 1.0 versions would be a lot more harder to get a hold of.

If you're after 1.50 for the swaploit, it's not the easiest hack to make work, needs two memory cards, will undoubtedly poop on a memory card or two (needing a card format, so backup those saves) and there's a bunch of UMD games on the way that'll update your firmware to > 1.50 anyway.

1.0 Jap PSPs are still the ones to have, if you want to run homebrew code. Loving my PSP at the moment; the honeymoon period is most definitely still on!

Yeah, i'm split right now between getting a 1.50 for the emus or just holding out until september, getting UK one with Liberty City Stories and waiting until they hack whatever firmware GTA runs on. As thats pretty much the only PSP game i'll be needing for a while, rest will be on emu
