Oh bollocks, why do they have to milk every single game out of every single penny?

It just means that only half the people buy it and leaves all the normal servers empty.

Wish they would concentrate on finishing the original game first, to be honest.

Not getting this. Night-vision as a major feature? Please.

By November the mods will be in full swing- hundreds of hours of gameplay and it's free.

After reading the artical my first impression was wow, sounds promising.
Much more sneaking about, more maps/weapons/toys to play with etc

I understand that the game is still buggy, but im enjoying playing so much atm, the more content for me the better.

Each to his own though I guess...

    PS

I adjusted the game resolution back to 1024/768 and set the AA and AF on my gaphics card (Radlinker) to 'Application preferance'. So instead of having multible CTD's last night, I didnt have one, and that was in 4hrs. = Happy bunny

I like it as well, hopefully they will sort the patch soon and add some more features to this version.

Do hope they sort out the bunny hopping, reminds me of the early days of DoD. Some of the mods look great, the command system for squads has a lot of possibilities, will be interesting to see where they go with it.

Typical EA. I'm not even gonna get BF2 until a couple of patches are released and working. Tis a good game but the server screen takes the mickey.

Personally, I am extremely disapointed with BF2. The game is incredibley bugged, but the more important downside is the terrible interface, in game and in menus. I can't help but feel the different controls for different vehicles is a disaster, it was much better when say the perspective was a global change (i.e. in the common controls). I also feel that the game's varying factors make it unpredictable. For instance, helicopters have become much easier to fly, and especially to land. However they have made them incredibly weak!

When coupled with the cutsie map graphics which we are forced to look at in the mini-map; and of course the cringe-worthy US victory music, I think the Battlefield experience is ruined well and trully. And to top it all off, 1.01 doesn't work. Cracking stuff.

think you can sum up everything as in the above post in a few simple words

    'Electronic Arts' - thats it!

they ruin everything completely, although generals was fun
