    Has anyone EVER finished Farcry?

This game is seemingly endless.. only got it a short while back... but I've been playing for aaaaaaaaaaages and I don't seem to be anywhere near finishing.. Half-Life 2 didn't last this long... I'm just at the "blow up the boat" bit...

Yeh finished it, last level was hard. I just hid in an alcove where the big metal door bit is. Took me a few goes.

The ending was a complete anti climax in my opinion. Still throughly enjoyed the game throughout though.

I did it sometime ago, it was bloody hard work too, I found the game really tough and had to <gulp> god mode through a couple of sections. I think that I was just being lazy though as revisiting those levels now means I can get through with no need to cheat.

It's nothing! The last section is really cool too, it's worth getting there just to see the lava..

I admit that they strung it out too far though- by the time I actually got that far 90% of the enthusiasm had gone

playing Farcry on the hardest setting while trying to get past that lava pit near the end of the game with all those endless amounts of big meats and their rocket launchers, coupled with the bouncin'sniping grinnin mercs is perhaps one of the hardest levels ive ever encounted in any of the games ive played (which believe me is an insane amount, an unhealthy amount)

I recommend Far Cry coop to anyone considering a lan, with its own mini game of locate the fallen gun (u'll know what i mean when ya play it ) but is especially enjoyable since you can see the ai adapting to multiple threats and gives a real opportunity to appreciate the ai.

I think the last time I played I got up to the bit where you're on the sinking boat and have to shoot that helicopter down. I don't think I ever did get past that bit...
To err is human. To really foul things up ... you need a computer.

Yeh that bit is very hard. It took me a good 9 or 10 tries before i done it. I was trying to aim for the guy but i think you gotta shoot the helicopter down its self. Least when i finally done it the helicopter was on fire in the end. Just shoot loads of grandades and rockets at it. Thats what i done.

I completed it last Friday. Awesome awesome game best I’ve played in a long time. I played it on medium I just cant see how people can play it on realistic. I mean playing it on medium was solid in parts, I cant imagine what realistic is like. It did drag out a bit towards the end. I thought it would start to end when you get to the archive but it just kept going and going and the end video wasn’t much to right home about could have been better after all you had to do in the game, but I’m not going to complain too much, its a superb game and id love to play a second release (which I think their working on).

P.S They should have made one of the F buttons a quick save and load button.

When i played through the helicopter got stuck in the top of the boat and i shot it down in about 20 seconds, 2nd time through though was much tougher. The last level on this is truly evil hehe takes the mickey out of HL2 for difficulty.

The helecopter bit was piss (did it on realistic setting), jumped out of the boat, swam to the island, hid behind the tree, untouchable, shot everything I had at it lol. The last last bit with the lava was indeed a ball ache, I would rather a game be too long than too short, besides, it kept me coming back for more everytime....Half life ², jeez so boring

I don't have a lot of time to play atm, but I polished off Far Cry pretty quickly....but I know where you coming from....anyone had a similar experience with Doom III? My God, the game is stupendously long....I'm just soooooo bored, but it's the only FPS I've got that I haven't finished...

The helicopter bit is easy if you know how. Get a jeep, drive to the shore closest to the boat. When you trigger the chopper swim for the shore get in the jeep and hammer the chopper with the 50 cal

Didn't finish it kept getting killed by the invisible snipers on the last level Super game though.
