BF2 Multiplayer help please!

Ok, I select my online account, select internet, select a server, and click join server. It then displays a little box saying "connecting to server" or whatever, but only for about 5 seconds, after which it returns to the select server page! It's been doing this every time for 2 days. It was working 3 days ago.
Any ideas?

Bug.

Does that occasionally for me, but it going to be one of the ones fixed in the 1.0.3 patch.

Quick question, are you running off a wifi adaptor?

Nope, gigabit LAN into PC w/broadband.

And you have the ports opened?

Ok.

Since the hackers getting into the servers most of the servers have cracked down on different ports.

In your manual, at the back theres a list of TCP/UDP ports that need to be opened on your firewall to play properly.

Theres a fair few, so if your firewall limits your ports try making your IP DMZ (Demilitarised Zone, basicly no firewall) and using some software firewall.
