Just did a superb bit of teamplay.

Was in a USMC chopper, mate of mine flying, me on chaingun. 3 other ppl in.

Me and my mate are using skype to chat and team up.

Managed to get a score of 74 (remember I ain't too good, my previous high was 31) and 4 kick votes.

Some people just can't take a loss properly. IIRC it was a multiplay server and ppl I were killing were americans.

Americans in my experience are always a bit annoyed if you defeat them, great people just a little arrogant

also, just so you know the 'USMC chopper' i think your talking about is meant to be a Black Hawk and i think the particular variant that is in BF2 is the UH-60, unless im mistaken...

i seroiusly cannot wait to get the full game, having played the demo a little on my brothers pc...need that upgrade!

It is a great game, but the whole Black Hawk thing does get a little annoying after a while, especially if either,

a) you have a rubbishrubbishrubbishrubbish pilot that flies too low so youre a sitting duck to apcs and .50s
b) youre on the ground, they are seriously hard to kill, i mean, anti tank rocket to a helicopter should bring it down.
or c) youre not flying or on a gun, anyone who sits in the back repairing is basically just a stats whore.

Not at all. For a squad to work you need an eng and a med in the choppers.

Very true 2 of the other people were engineers and one was a medic.

choppers are ace, once you can fly, the game gets 1000000 times better.

armor is so under used in so many maps, only really karkand where its not very useful.

Hmm, that may be; but it gets extremely annoying when you are in a chopper v chopper battle, and you fire successful shots at the opponent only to find it has no real effect. Maybe a limit to the amount of repairs on an airborne chopper in say a period on 1 minute would be a good compromise?

I just find it really annoying that the VOIP on servers is never used, i have PTT on but it doesn't work.

Hence why we use skype

Engineers repair any vehicle that they are in or are next to you.

You can also take the coptor or aircraft over your base and you get repairs.

Oh yeah, Black Hawks are just too powerful, they wreck the game on Mashutuur City, very much like grenades ruin the game on Karkland.

Apparently there are going to be changes made to the BH in the 1.03 patch -the chainguns will be less powerful - to make it even with the MEC/Commy chopper. At the moment its difficult to kill anything witht he MEC/Commy transport chopper!

A bit off topic but does anyone know how many points it take to get the second unlock?

Theres to many balance issues in BF2, like the special forces dude being pretty useless due to not getting points from C4 on objectives (arty etc.). The fact that the Stingers are poo against aircraft (a good pilot is impossible to stop, how many times have you been killed by that bomber - on Operation Clean sweep?).

Get on my rag but I guess they'll fix it in the 1/03 patch.
