I own fallout 1, 2 and tactics in all the full violent glory.... have to day dude, it is probabley the ultimate rpg no mattter what anyone says... I mean fallout 2, drive across the wastes, sleep with a farmers daughter, have a shot gun wedding, go to the games Las Vegas place (New Reno if I recall correct), gamble all your moeny away, form a drug habut, shoot your wife for whinging back in the desert, back to the casinos, become a boxer, sleep with some prostitutes, become a porn star, and carry on your adventure, walking into town and causing hell

Man, I love that game.. better then any RPG that goes... Buy magic wand, wander into magic forest, talk to elven lady, trade crossbow of fire for magic wand, get attacked by some blobs of funny looking crap..... etc etc

FALLOUT RULES.... shame 1 and 2 dont run under XP oh well, my next sytem will be dual boot for all the classics to run beautifully.

Hehe, one of my trait in fallout is always bloody mess
The other one is usually gifted (I think? The +1 to all stats).

Fallout 1 was kinda easy though. Once you have Sniper or Slayer skill, you became virtually unstoppable.

Fallout 2 offered some challenge with pretty tough bounty hunters (especially after you've wiped out a couple of towns ).
Also.. Anyone tried the box section with slayer (and bloody mess)? Total abuse
The downside is that the load time was pretty bad on my PC..

That said, I wouldn't say its superior or inferior to Japanese RPGs (including, but not limited to the Final Fantasy series). I like them both.
