Playing BF2 on my new "monitor"....

Well actually its a a free DLP Projector I got given for working for a client..... Battlefield is quite a sight on a screen 5' wide.
Flying the F22 was absolutely awesome, seeing the ground wizz underneath you, god I can't wait to get home to play some more now :O

Sorry about the cat in the photos, she got a little bit interested in attacking the players on screen(wall) as well.

The projector can do 1024 no problem, ran BF2 on 800x600 with full eye candy on just to apprecaite the prettyness.

Supposedly supports HDTV via DVI so i'll have to try it out when the Xbox 360 comes out.

Some Vivitar thingy majiggery, I honestly don't know the model number sorry. I do some work for them after hours here so they "hooked me up" for being good to them.

Doesn't look or perform too cheaply as I'd expect after using one of their cameras (which was rather appalling)

never knew Vivitar made projectors. They are atrocious for Digi cams, poor LCDs was the most annoying bit.

Wow thats freakin cool... I'm always tempted to hijack my old schools projectors, especially as they had these ones that went on like 9x9 ft screens. And even more I had an ultra small descreet laptop at the time....

Could have put some pr0n on there and pwned the school during an assembly. Well... the teachers anyway.

Yeah now you're talking. I have a projector from work that I use for presentations and the such and one of the first things I did was rig it up for some monster HL2 on the wall fun. I'd do it more often but I dont have any white walls in my house... I blame apple white Dulux...

That cat's quite cute, makes me want to buy one.

Seems like it could be quite good for gaming .

Its an abyssinian. Check the prices before you even think about buying one, they're hella expensive cats.

    Theres a similar one:
    -I don't like cats.
-You just don't know how to cook them.

I got a cat btw, before anyone goes up in arms

Yeah you almost convinced me to use mine again. Damn noisy thing.

Edit; got room? got square wall? got time? get projector. cheaper then a widescreen LCD and much, much, much bigger. and you can probably figure out doing letterbox anyway Only thing is the screen is a big factor. You're looking at 500 squid + for a good one.

Interesting point; my epson was meant to be 800 by 600 max but seemed very clear even at 1280 by 1024 through the monitor input... somehow...
