Meh, I use optical mice, so I don't really need a pad, and you dont really need a good one, they're all the same!

Dude I have an optical mouse and a laser mouse and I SERIOUSLY cannot use them without the mousemat now. I use a Xtrac Optical Pro mousepad, its good in a million ways that I can't be bothered to list, but I think the fabric on it might wear away after a while....

I was like you - I was like 'what can a mousemat give me? I have used my optical mouse with all sorts and its all the same'. But I won a gaming mousemat at a LAN party, makes all the difference. 100% accuracy with the mouse (you don't know what 100% accuracy is like until you use one) and much better use of mouse (in terms of mobility on the surface) it glides like it's on ice. I have also got teflon pads, so the ease to move it is incredible.

Lol I let my mate borrow an extra one that I won - and he was reluctant but I made him - he ended up taking it off my hands forever as he got attached to it.

I personally wouldn't recommend my fabric based mousepad, as although its really portable and sticks to the table like the bananas, my fabric is changing colours here and there from getting dirty, and the edges are kinda coming up a bit. HOWEVER they also do a solid version, check up on it. They also do all sorts of sizes, including an A3 sized one.

Agreed, I was in the "don't need a mousemat for optical mouse" camp for some time, bought an original ratpad about 4years ago and have used it ever since. Unfortunately over time it has warped and the centre is now curved so I am looking to replace. Looking at the steelpads.

I use a mousemat that must be at least four or five years old - it's just a normal, tatty, cheapo mousemat that has been covered in fabric... well, I like it!

    I use a fUnc pad - and it's the canine's undercrackers!

But don't pay £25-£30 for one - buy one from Alienware for £8 : http://www.alienware.co.uk/GearShop_...333&CatId=1088

I have one of these and it's 100% better than the ratpadz I was using. It's even reversable as well.So if you don't like one side turn it over and try the other. Can't go wrong for £8 either

How? Hit them in the nads with the mouse mat?

When someone from your school gets mugged, you will be a very guilty feeling person
