    Steam accounts

    I updated my steam last night, and went to play on a server and it aasked for my password again, so i put it in, its now saying invalid userid ticket. I dont know wot to do, ive asked for a password retreival, and no email has been sent yet. your steam login is invalid or this id does not exist.

    Anyone got any ideas?

    It did that to me ages ago, but only after I got lag really badly. I just restarted steam and it signed me in automatically..

    Here are some of the common steam probs I have encountered and what I had to do to fix them:

    Ticket Expired
    Log out and exit Steam
    Log back in again

    Disconnected from Server - Client sent drop
    Disable Cheating Death

    Cannot get Steam to run/start updating
    Logout and Exit steam
    delete the "ClientRegistry.blob" file in your Steam folder (usually "C:\Program Files\Steam\")
    Restart Steam.

    Server Verification Failed
    Steam is down
    When prompted start in OFFLINE mode
    Play as normal (server should let you join OK)

    thanks lads, ive had the situation where i have had to reenter my password, or no log on, so i restart steam, but this is different. Restarting steam does not help. Im pretty sure someone ahs stolen it, because im not even receiving any emails

    Try the ClientRegistry.blob fix mentioned above. It is one of those "cure all" sort of fixes. If you don't want to delete it just copy somewhere else as you can always put it back later if you want. If you do delete it then logging in will create a new one

    i tried deleting it. still no use, but thanks for ideas..
