What do you like about BF2?

In tandem with the other thread

Basicly what is the favorite thing you do in BF2, something that makes you say "pwnage"!

Mine is on maps with a power plant and the transformers I normally run out behind tanks, C4 them, then run off and kill em when the flag is around half way, thus taking out a few people around them at the same time.

    Sniping snipers.
    Sniping pilots.
    Sniping commanders.
Sniping guys at the back of a squad and nobody noticing they're gone.
Sniping for a squad, running around capping flags and popping distant oponents on the run.
Sniping spec ops before they can detonate when they've wasted 20 seconds planting C4.
Sniping defensively from a position watching over friendly flags so the enemy can't cap them.
Sniping from a rooftop and hearing someone climb a ladder, only to take a claymore blast to the face.

And the support class (it's overlooked!)
Being a commander/squad leader on a side that actively uses voip is amazing too.
And- destroying a jeep/chopper/apc with 4 or more people in it... it's just awesome.
    Edit: I forgot Karkand!

my favourite part of bf2 is just anything involving me, flying and a black hawk

especially with two (unnooby) permenant crew members on the miniguns blazing away

i love dropping special op teams behind lines, or dropping a squad just outside a hot zone, getting shot at and escaping back to base for another squad with just a bit of health (for some reason i find trying to evade those mec choppers with barely any health quite an exciting part of the game)

but the absolute BEST part of the UH-60 (blackhawk) is that i know there is a hell of a lot more to learn, currently im trying to fly professionally with my Saitek Evo joystick from a cockpit veiw, i got bored of chase camera flying!

if i cant get hold of a blackhawk im usually an engineer class and just go around fixing stuff

such an awesome game, especially with VoIP

Flying the attack helis is pretty good, very good on maps im a bit better at (oilfields, plant, wetlands, valley)

The PPK, by far and away the best gun in any fps ever, well, maybe an overstatement, theres always the shark gun, certainly one of the best in a realistic shooter.

TOW missle sites, i love getting on the one next to that raised platform bit on fu she pass and taking out apc after apc.

When you get the drop on a squad and can work your way into a good position to take them all down in a couple of seconds (again, love that ppk)

The linebacker, best ... vehicle ... ever

When you get on a good quad and basically own the entire map cos you work as a team and the squad leader isnt a complete muppet going charging off to get killed.

    You mean the Pkm?
PPk is a pistol like Mr. Bond has last time I checked..

    More for this list:
    The score-doubling system for commanders.
The fact that all the classes are equally accessible
    M95 (BOOM! Headshot!)
    The miniguns...
Karkand, Sharqi Peninsula, Gulf of Oman, and Mashtuur City are the finest bunch of infantry maps I've played in any game.

Mashtuur is a great urban map.

But Songhua Stalemate still owns for openspace fighting.

One of the oil plant levels is superb for air battles.

Last night on that real sandstorm of a urban map, being sat in apc with another apc and tank along side and even with poor visibilty co ordinating our hail of fire onto same targets.

Getting better at flying the blackhawk now so can hover alongside enemy soldiers with my mini gunners blazing away.

And my favourite moment was on a roof, with an anti tank missile, taking down a mec attack chopper with 3 shots and getting pretty badly injured in process, 1st shot he was hovering below, then he flew of and gained height to get me, so I got him again, then as he came at me missiles firing I hit him yet again and took him down

Kind of dissapointing that this thread got so few replies compared to the other one, for anyone considering it it is a great game, and you should go buy it.

    Seconded.

But I;m holding off online play at the moment.

All the kids are still on holiday and are crapping the servers out.

Too many People that decide to ram jets into bases, use commander mode to attack randomly. Not enough VOIP.

The VOIP aspect of this game is superb. Use it correctly and you can pwn at any map.

But please people BUY A HEADSET and make sure you set it up correctly first.

Im not sure VOIP is that useful, but then again i dont use it (no headset as yet) Its more useful for squad leaders etc i think, cos they tend to be the ones giving commands, everyone else basically just needs whats on the menus.

What really annoys me is when people dont spot a sniper, so he can run off and reposition before you can take him out. Although it is amusing to take out some noob of a sniper who cant shoot for **** with the PKM at range.

As an aside, has anyone figured out how to use the laser guided missles in the second seat of teh f15? mine just fire straight forward.

Laser guided are the most fiddly.

You have to move the mouse to move em a little towards it.

SO it the + is in the top right corner, they'll move slightly that way.
