So then why develop new consoles? As good as games get, they can get better with more power. Power doesn't always mean better graphics, it means more possibilities, such as more on-screen realtime NPC's.


Unless this is one big cover up by Nintendo, and they have some kind of amazing VR console or something, this is the death of their play in the big boys league of the consoles. They might just stick to support of the handheld devices, but hell even their turf in that aspect is getting invaded, lol

LOL damn right, when it comes down to it, most people won't know all the things, and will believe whats marketed to them. The more enthusiastic people are a small minority that make up the market who will make wise decisions, but its mostly as skuzgib said above.
