PGR3, the end of Cat & Mouse?

As many of you know, Bizarre have said that Project Gotham Racing 3 will include only cars that reach speeds of 170+mph. Does this mean the end to the Cat & Mouse variation of PGR2 that many of us enjoyed on Live and splitscreen?

For those of you that don't know what it is, it's where players split into teams of 2. Usually in PGR2 one had a Cooper-S and the other had an Enzo, and coloured them to match. The objective was then to get your team's mini through the finish line first by either crashing/blocking the opponent Minis or to boost your Mini (a Mini at 180mph was pretty ridiculous, and didn't take corners very well!)

This was a fantastic break from standard races and was a lot of fun. There's a lot of people in my friends list as a result of that game, just because we all had a laugh and didn't really care who won. I for one shall miss it if there are only fast cars in PGR3.

Yeah that's what's been confirmed. No compact sports and no SUVs
