Fahrenheit - anyone played the demo?

Took me a bit of getting used to it but I think it's a really neat concept. Certainly makes a change from the usual games.

    Anyone else had a go?

pretty cool - looking forward to this one. I found it easier to control on the xbox controller than with the mouse

what all endings have you tried?
I've gotten the taxi, and gotten nicked - can anything else happen?

Shame its only the very first bit in the diner that you can play on the demo then make youre escape. Took me a while to work out the actions on it with the little red dot moving it the way the light is going to do youre action.

Its enough to grip you and pull you in then say you've had enough for now !

Definately buying this one on release, believe its out in the next few days.

It's out on the 16th. I think it's worth a punt because it's something a little different. I felt they'd really managed to fuse the cinematic and gameplay elements - I especially liked the bit at the beginning when the guy was like 'Hi, I'm the director of the game, in a moment you're going to be playing as Lucas Kane....'

It reminded me of the start of This Is Spinal Tap, haha.

Yes, there wasn't very much to the demo, but there was a lot to like. The controls are a bit weird, but the graphics, music, effects, etc are all very nice.

There were three endings I found - getting nicked, going down a subway, and getting a taxi. I kept running into the middle of the road to try and carjack someone. This isn't GTA

If you played Nomad soul you know that this game will rock so hard!.

Nomad Soul is one of my favourite games ever. Played it to completion and it took me ages. So much to do and so many secrets to learn and master.

I'm definitely getting this on release too.

Yeah 1999 was when it was released, It still works on win2k/xp. But it blew things away when it was released. Probably still able to pick it up in the budget section of game/gamestation etc.

It won't look as impressive graphics wise now, but as i'm quite happy to re-iterate time and time again. The gameplay in it is far superior to lots of games available now.

I agree with Tig on this one, Nomad Soul was the first PC game I actually bought. Its available on Budget now for mere coppers. So many ways to do things on it (like near the start on how to get into the vault, either drug youre captain or go wading in guns blazing etc). Mini games were cool, Tekken style fighting (which usually ended up in you changing to a different body ! ) and there was also first person shooter bits like supermarket raids you had to sort out. All in all a fantastic game !

I put it on a few weeks back and managed to get it running in max detail and highest resolution (available at its time of release was 1024x768), all street details and traffic, max draw distance the lot. Remember when I bought it had to run it in 640x480 as I just didnt have the power to run it !

If Fahrenheit is anywhere near as good I will be extremely happy, played its demo a few times now and found the 3 endings (Arrested, Subway or Taxi) Subway and Taxi show that weird transient, wonder who / what he is ?! Runs really well on my machine and it looks amazing. Opening scene for some reason reminds me of Parasite Eve on the PS1 (Snow around New York) ?

how will the button timing mini games work on the pc i wonder. i dont see hamering keys (pretty much like typing) being as enjoyable stresssful as hamering buttons on a pad, although the apparent pain of mashing the R trigger has been noted in places. im still really not sure whether to get this for xbox or pc.
