    What new game to buy?

Wellll, i've been having a look at www.gamesplanet.co.uk and the prices seem pretty cheap so i was thinking about buying a new game... but WHAT?

I'm really into realistic games... not a great fan of games with futuristic lazer guns (UT2003) or fantasy games (like Everquest)... so i've come up with a list and i want you lot to tell me your opinions on which i should buy

The games i currently play are....
    Soldier Of Fortune 2,
Battle Field 1942 / Desert Combat Mod,
    Toca Touring Car Driver.

And i sometimes play some Vice City or Ravenshield..... I hope this gives you an idea of what i like .

    So.. heres the games..

Star Wars Jedi Knight- Jedi Academy - £24.49

    Republic: The Revolution - £17.99

Operation Flashpoint: Game of the Year - £7.49

Those are just three that have caught my eye.... if you have any other suggestions i'm ready to here them

    Ben

Freedom Fighters is quite good fun, not hugely realistic though. I'd wait for halo if I were you, only a few more days...

    Live For Speed.

£12 and there's no modern racer to touch it. Designed as an online racing game, you're never short of opponents. Couldn't recommend it any more.

    Operation Flashpoint is good......

.....if you like crawling around behind bushes and on the floor for twenty minutes and then getting shot by a pixel 2.4 miles away

There's realistic and then there's gaming...

If you "get" the concept of Op Flash it rocks. We attempted it at a Lan and some people just didnt have a clue so we abandoned that idea...

Yes frustrating at times but definatly underrated.

Halo - Futuristic yes, but excellent!

Or, as a employee of a certain high street game retail store (*hint* the name's in this sentence ) I can recommend a Medal Of Honour Bundle. Not doing the store ne favours cause I'm sure you can get it cheaper on line. MOH is realistic, fast, fun and plays brilliantly.

If you enjoy turning left, sure.

If you want a driving simulation with normal road going style cars on proper, challenging tracks, then LFS is the daddy.

Bunjiweb, try the demo of LFS. It's only one very basic track area and you only get a few of the cars, but it's more than enough to show you how good the game is.

The other cars (specifically the RB4) are just great fun to chuck around and it's a real challenge to get a good lap time. Anything less than 10/10ths concentration with the LX cars and you're going around in circles! The tracks on the Fern Bay area are amazing - if only they existed IRL!

If you are into shooting then OFP is your bag m8. The controls need careful setup but once your key config is sweet then the game just plain rocks.

Not many games allow you near total freedom to go and do what you like. You can complete a mission several different ways and even replaying the campaign several times can be different each time as it's mostly up to you how you do it.

The best damn game ever. period. except OFP resisitance which was even better

    Cheers,

    MM
