anyone going to be buying this expansion for DOW?

I got DOW few days ago and Im hooked! Ive never been into warhammer or anything related, but this RTS is bloody good to play.


Winter Assault looks even better, new units, new races, new environments, new animations, buy buy buy buy buy buy

DOW is definitely one of the best multiplayer games around (well, at least one of the most fun). But what i want to know is if there is any point of me getting involved with the whole Warhammer thing, because this was the first Warhamer that i played.

Gaffa, warhammer is probably pointless unless you have someone to play against or really enjoy painting models...

It's really, really pointless. And possibly one of the easiest ways to waste a load of money. PC > real life. Nuff said.

I understand that in Winter Assault they turn the eldar into smurfs and force them to fight using nothing but disparaging looks?

it's all about the multiplayer!

I doubt that's going to change in the expansion....I know the campaigns are supposedly better but I don't think they sounded that exciting.

I never played tabletop Warhammer but I bought the codex a year ago for the Imperial Guard just as something to read. I'm definitely looking forward to this.

Apparently this is the reason that Relic decided to release an expansion pack. They realised that the single player was very short and simple, so they want to fix that problem. There will be a single player campaign for both the "goodies" and the "baddies" but I haven't seen any full reviews yet.

Yer from what ive heard this is ALOT bigger than the orginal single player was and i really cant wait, loved the first AND NEED MORE!
