ITS $10! whats that? £5.60? and as its been said on countless other threads DoD hasnt been a mod since Value made it standalone at v.1

Back on Topic... I always found the Singleplayer on CoD to be good but never enjoyed the online gaming to be a bit to frag happy.

Which for 4 maps is pushing it a bit. Especially if it requires HL2 to play (i don't know if it does or is standalone)

I preordered it and paid $18+tax. It was just 10% cheaper. I have never seen the $10 figure. And if it was available - why didn't valve inform me? I found the lack of information on purchase options to be Valves trademark. I appreciate what they are doing with steam, but they are not doing the best job of it yet.

I got the retail DVD version of HL2 - is this the equivilent of the Bronze Steam package?

Why do fanboys bother posting in a thread about a game when they prefer an alternative? Loads of people play CoD, loads play DoD. This thread is about the new CoD 2 demo, why do you feel the need to tell people to play DoD?

How about letting people have a choice of their own?

Anyway, I'll be downloading this overnight for sure. Will MP be available on the demo though? I doubt it, but worth a question.

I have tried to get this a few times from a few different places now and it always drops out at around 70 Mb so going to get it in a few days time when it eases off a bit.

Really looking forward to seeing it and playing it, wonder how many levels / objectives a demo this size will give you ?

that was a bit harsh - I didnt say GO PLAY DOD! It was more of a way of saying it is tempting but when i get home ill play dod instead of downloading a demo for cod2 (if you didnt notice they are both WWII shooters & alot of people will be teared between the choice of which one to go for as not everyone has the money to buy both) and the next post i explained that more - CoD had a good singleplayer but when it comes to multi i really didnt enjoy as it was too 'frag happy'.
