WOW thats really good; I take it the shirt is up like that since they are running, and the shirt isn't actually a foot above their shoulders all the time?

Goddamm that game looks good. Thanks for that

EDIT: Whoa ok I saw the videos, and the clothes flap about when you move If thats not prerendered, omg some realistic stuff

now, if only it could support a round ball, and a face that looks half as good as HL2..

And whats with the white line around the players? looks like something my little sister would do in paint..

EDIT: Just watched the vid, and im even less impressed, the moving clothing looks the same everytime they slam dunk the ball, and whenever they show the shorts.. deffo not impressed there..

I sense a massive biased opinion there, so I'm going to have to ignore that I'm afraid I don't expect you to like it, but I don't expect it to be dismissed that much, it's definately a collasal improvement over existing games.

I can't believe the face on that. The eyes look amazingly good! And the eyes appear to look at places unscripted, which is something only a few games have really if you think about it.

Also the 'white lines' are the light reflections from the spotlights, as well as the yellow highlights from the light reflection from the yellow boards underneath. Clearly you have never watched basketball? (lol i know I was going to ignore but just had to say)

Well that's bs. That model is easily as good as HL2 models. In fact, i've seen more and more games with far better facial modelling than HL2 nowadays. The white lines around the players is simply a lighting effect.

EDIT: and that's actually clothing physics I believe, something HL2 never implemented I think you're a HL2 fanboy my friend.

Yea the clothes physics are amazing in my opinion; something often attempted but this beats all the 'wobbly capes' and things I have seen before. It's not perfect, but it adds to the realism by a startling amount.

the other thing to remember is that release games on consoles are never as impressive as those of ~1 year in... i think that the games will have an edge over pc stuff for that time.. it is a colossal leap forwards.

i recon some games (driving in particular) could end up genuinely video-realistic, with the exception of ray-tracing.

I imagine some fighting games, especially the Sony Exclusive ( ) tekken series that pay special attention on character details, since nothing else really needs rendering apart from some kind of background, could have incredible graphics, perhaps much higher graphically than the Unreal 3 engine. And we all know that the UE3 engine has pretty sexy graphics

i think it looks amazing, but from the trailer, it does appear the shirts 'float', and also in that last shot, his left arm is being penetrated.

if u havent already done so, u gotta check out the trailer

    The graphics look really impressive.
I wonder though if they will ever sort out clipping in games (like on the guy's shirt above)... I suppose that level of detail won't be around for a while.
