    Cs:s Hdr??

In the video options for Counterstrike Source, it now has the option to enable HDR, for supporting maps...

Anyone know what maps support it, and/or when we will get new maps that support it?

Guessing we will have to wait for the maps to be redone since it wasnt made a big thing that they have added it

none of the maps support HDR. i expect when the release de_Nuke and the new models you'll begin to see it all look rather shiny

I make maps for cs: source and previously cs 1.6, only source mapper for now, what i know of so far only DoD has HDR, the hl2 SDK will have to be updated for HDR maps to be available for people like me who make maps so that we can make the maps HDR, in small talk, the way maps are made now you need 2 texture files, but HDR textures need 3, so the custom maps which dont have HDR wont update for HDR(which i can say quite confidently, 99.9 % sure) i think this will make map sizes a ton bigger and your computers will have to be standard range for it to be playable!

afew friends i know play cs at full graphics options and get a healthy 150 fps, but on DoD get a rage of aroung 30-50 and 50 being rarly ocasional!

The only map that i know is in production is de_nuke. this was a very successful 1.6 map and many top css clans want this map ported across for tournament play etc. after this is complete i don't know what valve have up their sleeve.

HDR seems to kill my pc anyway, and for a multiplayer fps, framerate is king.
i think only the 7800 boys would really leave it on

    Not on CSS it doesn't

DoD:s has it, but that has lots of problems anyway.

But yeah, I reckon you're about right, maybe the 6800U or SLI users could enjoy it, but its a good old slowdown, and a questionable trade since you have to lose AA for it.

no its not a 1.6 map, its much older than that

it's annoying when people refer to the original CS as 1.6..when that was easily one of the worst versions of the game.

but yeah we want nuke back and milita, siege, thunder(amazing map)..and a PROPER version of inferno would be nice

I think people just say 1.6 now as opposed to CZ or Source, its just a uniform way of putting it.

But yeah, should be great to have Nuke bacl.
