no way - I got same set up as you but with 9700pro and it ran fine with everything turned up and smoke on everything at 1280x1024.

Thought it looked and felt pretty good - smoke and sky and explosions are all good. Better AI but still scripted. Also I like the way they got Ringo Starr to do some of the voices particularly

    "Run! Potato Masher!"

there's also "Die you dirty jerry rotter", "Got the bloody w***er", and "shoot the b******s through the smoke" which all made laff.

I wonder what the yanks swearing will sound like.

Well it did run poor on my computer, lol you can't actually correct me on that

1680x1050 @ high/medium. Then all medium, still ran poorly. I might reinstall it though, since I have formatted since then.

Nice demo, very very simliar to the original and it felt dumbed down for the 360 release (the "press space to go over wall" anyone?).

Still, i'll probably get it as the original was ace.

Yeah it was good fun, way to short though...and as xolotl said it does feel a bit 'dumbed down'..now where near to the extent that deuxex2 or theif3 were though

I liked it, pretty easy though. Graphics look nice, really like the sky and smoke effects though I found it really sensitive to overclocked cards, artifacted unless I really dropped my overclock (not an issue with any other game). Ill buy it.

Been playing it over and over again now and the subtleties are starting to come out, things like the HDR lighting when you look into the sun plus the really excellent smoke effects. Shame there's no ragdoll physics on the newly deceased though, that would be nice. Plus the demo is far too short! Think that im a fan, love the first game, got a strong feeling that im gonna love this one too....

Those warnings were in the first game to "Press 1 to change your weapon" I am liking it though, a hell of a lot better than DoD for me, shame I wasted the money to get DoD over steam.

Cant say i was really impressed with this one.....

Considering the time it has taken to produce - a rather poor effort. Polishing the graphics a bit, doesn't 'make' a game

However, I will withold full judgement until I have played the full game - lets hope that isn't too much of a disapointment!

As long as it's on a par with the original, i'll be happy. Lush graphics = bonus

to me it just felt like the original tbh

but i wasnt running it in top graphics

i thought they had upgraded the graphics engine completely

at one point were they not saying they were going to have ragdoll physics?

its still an ace game, whens its release?

i say, if its not broken don't fix it.

but i see what your saying...

because the demo is so short we're gonna hav to wait for its release, thats when the praise will come

as you can tell, i cant wait, got it on pre order with mx2.co.uk currently due for arrival at my door on 04/11/05
